The process
Hoop Vision contacted Annie Helen to create a logo that was athletic, attractive to kids and simple. We started out with 18 sketches of potential logo types and from there narrowed it down to our final picks. Together, Hoop Vision and Annie Helen Designs came up with four final logos to represent their organization.

Hoop Vision's preferred colors
“Basically we love basketball and the life lessons the game teaches. Our target audience is 5th grade-high school kids.
For the logo we love the colors- 1. Lime (neon) green 2. Blue 3. Burnt orange 4. Dark grey. Not all of those colors but just
a few to choose from. We want something that is easy to print and we can match colors pretty easily as well, but without
making it too simple. I can’t really tell you what we want but I can tell you what we would not want I guess- it has to be
athletic looking (obviously) and universal – Looks good paper/ website/ t-shirts etc. Also appealing to both guys and girls.”

Preliminary sketches
Annie Helen sent Hoop Vision 18 sketches to help narrow down the style and image they were shooting for. (pun intended) These six are just some of the types we chose from.

working together to make the perfect logo
As a designer, I like to collaborate with my clients and make sure their ideas are heard from the very beginning. I enjoy creating something that is representative of their concepts as well as aesthetically pleasing and well understood by their audience.
